Wenzen, Village district in Einbeck, Germany.
Wenzen is a village district on the southern edge of the Hils region in Einbeck, crossed by the B64 road and roughly 8 kilometers from the city center. The area features a primary school called Auf dem Berge and a modern fire station staffed by local volunteers.
The settlement originated in 1022 under the name Winithusen and remained independent for over 900 years. It became part of Einbeck municipality during the 1974 administrative reform.
St. Jacobi Church stands out in the village with its distinctive octagonal tower and serves as the main gathering place for religious services and community events. The bronze bells installed in 2004 mark the rhythm of daily life with their chiming.
The area is easy to reach via the B64 road and offers families a local primary school along with basic services. The fire station and various recreational spaces make it a livable residential area.
The Hilskapelle was only built in 2008 and sits at the forest edge in a park setting, integrating quietly into the landscape. It offers visitors a place of calm surrounded by nature.
