Waldstadion, Athletic stadium in Steinebrück, Germany

The Waldstadion features a main pitch with natural grass, a secondary pitch, and six running lanes equipped with red synthetic track surfaces.

Built in 1927 to replace a basic forest playground, the Waldstadion received its architectural heritage monument status on March 11, 1980.

The stadium entrance displays a memorial stone dedicated to Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, who established the German gymnastics movement in the early 1800s.

The facility provides 11,200 spectator spaces, including 1,200 seats, with 400 covered positions for optimal viewing of athletic competitions.

A World War II bunker remains on the stadium forecourt, though access to this historical structure is currently restricted.
