Kindersanatorium Erich Steinfurth, Former children's sanatorium in Zinnowitz, Germany.

The Kindersanatorium Erich Steinfurth is an abandoned complex in Zinnowitz comprising multiple interconnected buildings spread across extensive grounds. The structures display neoclassical columns and neobaroque architectural details that hint at their former elegance.

The site began as Hotel Belvedere in 1875 and was converted into a children's home in 1927. It later became a specialized medical center for childhood respiratory diseases in 1958, operating until 1991.

The facility bears the name of German resistance fighter Erich Steinfurth and operated as part of the German Democratic Republic's state health system until 1991.

The ruins sit near central Zinnowitz and are visible from outside, though most buildings are not accessible to visitors. Approach the site cautiously since the structures are unstable and sections may collapse.

The sanatorium contained specialized salt chambers and hydrotherapy baths designed to treat children with respiratory conditions. These therapeutic rooms represented cutting-edge medical approaches for chronic lung diseases at the time.
