Schloss Eltershofen, Medieval château in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany.
The château features a rectangular terrace surrounded by fortified railings and corner bastions within a moated perimeter.
Originally owned by local nobility, the castle changed ownership in 1516 when the last Eltershofen heir sold it for 522 guilders to citizen Rudolf Nagel.
The structure underwent reconstruction in the 17th century when patrician families from Schwäbisch Hall transformed it into a pleasure palace.
The property remains in private hands since 1896, belonging to the Counts of Westerholt, and is not open for public visitation.
The main building incorporates two upper floors crowned by a French hipped roof with four distinctive corner turrets.
