Founded in 1983, the museum began with a few rooms in Wilhelmsbad State Park and expanded its collection to include dolls dating from the 18th century.
The museum holds exhibits demonstrating the evolution of dolls through various materials, from wooden figures to porcelain, wax, papier-mâché, and modern celluloid.
Located in Parkpromenade, the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 17:00.
The museum maintains a partnership with Warabekan International Toy Museum in Tottori, Japan, leading to collaborative exhibitions and cultural exchanges.
