Jagdschloss Oberhof, Hunting lodge in Oberhof, Germany.
The Jagdschloss Oberhof stands in the Thuringian Forest, featuring a rectangular design with more than two hundred hunting trophies decorating its interior and exterior walls.
Duke Johann Ernst I constructed the first hunting lodge in 1616, which contained eight chambers and was surrounded by a square embankment before burning down in 1634.
The lodge served as a meeting point for German nobility, hosting the Saxon King Friedrich August II and ten other princes during a significant gathering in 1839.
The structure underwent multiple transformations throughout its existence, from an officers' residence in 1926 to residential units, before its demolition in 2020.
Four imperial princes of Prussia, including Wilhelm, Eitel Friedrich, Adalbert, and August Wilhelm, stayed at the lodge during the Three Emperors Year of 1888.
