Rittergut Großgoltern

The Rittergut Großgoltern encompasses a main house with a six-meter-wide water moat and two smaller wings connected to agricultural buildings through a gatehouse.

The central tract of the manor house dates from the 17th century, while the north wing was renovated in 1886 by Hanover architect Hermann Schaedtler.

Five tombstones are embedded in the manor house courtyard, with the oldest dating back to 1492, representing centuries of regional heritage.

An 800-meter chestnut tree avenue extends from the manor house to the von Alten family burial ground in the countryside.
