The Olympiastützpunkt Freiburg-Schwarzwald delivers medical, physiotherapeutic, and scientific training support to federal cadre athletes in Baden-Württemberg.
Established in 1988 under the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association, the center transformed into an independent organization in 1998 before returning to state management in 2018.
The facility represents one of 18 German Olympic training centers, serving over 200 athletes in various Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.
Located at Schwarzwaldstraße 177 in Freiburg-Waldsee, the center is accessible via tram line 1 at Hasemannstraße station or by bicycle through the Frelo rental system.
The center maintains specialized training locations including the Herzogenhorn Performance Center and the Nordic Center-Notschrei federal base for biathlon development.
