Christoph 30, Rescue helicopter station at Städtisches Klinikum, Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
Christoph 30 is a rescue helicopter station located at the Städtisches Klinikum in Wolfenbüttel and operated by ADAC Luftrettung. The facility uses a modern EC 135 helicopter equipped with medical equipment for rapid patient transport and emergency treatment in the field.
The rescue helicopter service at this location began operations on July 15, 1983, initially using the BO 105 model. The transition to the modern EC 135 occurred later and has shaped air rescue work in the Braunschweig region ever since.
The station marked its 40th anniversary in June 2022 with a public celebration that drew more than 10,000 visitors to learn about air rescue services.
The station coordinates emergency calls around the clock but cannot fly during poor weather conditions. Keep in mind that rescue operations take priority and public access to the active station is generally not available.
In a critical rescue operation, paramedic and pilot worked together to execute a life-saving maneuver refined through their years of partnership. This seamless coordination between ground crew and flight team forms the backbone of daily operations at this station.
