The museum contains numerous computing devices including mechanical calculators, electronic computers, and magnetic drum computers from different technological periods.

Founded in 1997, the museum preserves Germany's oldest operational magnetic drum computer LGP 30 and a complete IBM 1130 system with punch cards.

The exhibition spans 400 years of computational history, starting from Wilhelm Schickard's calculating machine through the microprocessors of the 1970s.

Access to the museum requires scheduling an appointment in advance, with regular opening hours on Tuesdays from 16:15 to 18:30.

Museum technicians maintain expertise in outdated programming languages and keep an extensive inventory of spare parts to maintain operational historical computers.
