Bogestra-Hauptverwaltung

The Bogestra headquarters is a transport administration building located at Universitätsstraße 58 in central Bochum, designed with modernist architectural features. The original complex included a carriage hall alongside the main structure to support the company's bus and streetcar operations across the region.

Architect Heinrich Schmiedeknecht designed and built this structure between 1926 and 1928 as part of a larger operational complex for the transit company. A major renovation took place from 1981 to 1983, when an extension replaced the former director's residence on the site.
