Schachtrupp-Villa

The Schachtrupp Villa is an early 19th-century cubic structure with a natural stone base and a distinctive portico with columns on its north side. The building contains four floors with rooms arranged symmetrically around a central spiral staircase that brings light through the entire structure.

Construction began in 1819 by industrialist Johann Friedrich Schachtrupp, who established a white lead factory, and his son completed the building in 1828. This timeline reflects the growth of local manufacturing and the family's role in transforming the town during the Industrial Revolution.

The building carries the name of its founder, an industrialist whose legacy shaped the local economy. Today, it serves as a symbol of the town's connection to its manufacturing past and community identity.
