Wohnhaus Waldstraße 68 is a single-story residential building from the 18th century built with timber-frame construction, plastered walls, and a gable roof. The structure rests on rounded beam heads and was later adapted to serve as a day care facility.

The house was built in 1726 as a forester's residence and originally served administrative and housing functions for forest officials. Over time it was converted into a private residential building and later protected as a historical monument.

The building displays typical features of North German construction with its characteristic timber-frame design. The wooden beam structure and plastered walls reflect the local craftsmanship tradition that has defined the region for centuries.

The protected historical building is located in a quiet residential area of Syke and is easily visible from the street. Visitors can view the exterior at any time, but should keep in mind that it remains an active facility providing day care services.
