Villa Herrlichkeit 26, Historicist residential villa in Syke, Germany.
Villa Herrlichkeit 26 is a two-story plastered residential building with a hipped roof, classical central projection facing the street, and a cornice with console details. A modern annex was added later to expand the living space.
The building was constructed around 1900 and was the residence of Syke mayor Wilhelm Ohse and his wife Luise. After that period, it continued to serve as a private residence.
The building shows features of early 20th-century residential architecture with its symmetrical facade and refined decorative details. This design approach was typical for wealthy families in German towns during that period.
The building is located at the intersection of Bundesstraße 6 and Steinkamp and is easily visible from the street. Since it is an occupied private residence, it can only be viewed from outside.
The property originally had extensive gardens that were converted into row houses after Luise Ohse's death. This transformation significantly changed the appearance of the surrounding area.
