Villa Ahmet Kapanci

Villa Ahmet Kapanci is a protected residential building in Thessaloniki featuring neoclassical design and ornate facade details. The symmetrical window arrangement and decorative elements give the house a refined appearance along Vasilissis Olgas avenue.

The house was built in 1895 by architect Pietro Arrigoni for Ahmet Kapanci, a member of a prominent merchant and banking family in the city. It represents residential construction from that period when Thessaloniki was undergoing significant change.

The building blends neoclassical style with design elements that reflect Thessaloniki's diverse population in the late 1800s. The ornate facade shows craftsmanship that brings together different architectural traditions.

The building is located at Vasilissis Olgas 105 and remains a private residence today. As a protected Greek heritage site, it can be viewed from the street but is not open for public interior visits.

This residence is among the few survivors from before the 20th century that endured the multiple transformations of Thessaloniki's urban landscape. Its survival preserves a rare glimpse into the domestic life of wealthy families during that era.
