Folklife and Ethnological museum of Macedonia - Thrace

The Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia-Thrace holds over 15,000 objects including textiles, costumes, tools, and musical instruments gathered from various communities in northern Greece. The collection represents different aspects of daily and ceremonial life across several historical regions.

The building was constructed in 1906 as a private residence for a banker and reflects early 20th-century architecture in Thessaloniki. Later conversion to a museum allowed the original structure of the house to be preserved with its distinctive features intact.

The collection showcases traditional crafts and clothing that reflect how people in northern Greece lived and dressed for generations. These items show the customs and skills that families passed down through their daily lives in these regions.
