Villa Mordoch, Protected mansion in Thessaloniki, Greece

Villa Mordoch is a two-story residence with a domed corner tower and tile-covered exterior walls. The building features an elevated basement and attic section, showcasing the eclectic architectural style popular at that time.

Architect Xenophon Paionidis designed and built this mansion in 1905 for the Jewish Mordoch family. The family lived there from 1930 to 1940 before the building eventually transitioned to administrative use.

Inside, art-nouveau decorations with painted details reveal the taste of early 20th-century residents. These ornaments show how wealthy families of that era expressed their status through home design.

The building now functions as administrative offices with limited public access. You can view the exterior while taking a walk along Queen Olga Avenue, where you will see other similar mansions from this period.

The mansion stands along Queen Olga Avenue, a street defined by several grand residences from the same era. This area once served as the preferred neighborhood for the city's wealthy families.
