Kalamaria Stadium

Kalamaria Stadium is a sports venue in the Kalamaria municipality north of Thessaloniki with capacity for around 6,500 spectators. The facility features a grass field and standard seating areas throughout.

The stadium was built in 1973 and later served as a training venue during the 2004 Olympic Games. Major modernization work took place in 2003 to meet the requirements of this international sporting event.

The stadium is home to Apollon Kalamarias Football Club and draws fans from across the region. On match days, families and neighbors gather here to support their team.

The stadium is easily accessible by public transport, particularly via bus routes 5 and 6 from Mitropoleos Street. The journey from Aristotelous Square typically takes around 30 minutes.

Future construction work at this location will add a shopping center and cinema complex to the grounds. The site is set to transform into a larger cultural and entertainment destination.
