Built in 1973, the stadium underwent major renovations in 2003 to prepare for its role as an official training venue during the 2004 Summer Olympics.
The stadium serves as the primary venue for Apollon Kalamarias Football Club matches, connecting local sports enthusiasts and community members.
Visitors can access the stadium via bus routes 5 and 6 from Mitropoleos Street, with the journey from Aristotelous Square taking approximately 30 minutes.
The stadium complex will expand to include a shopping center with multiplex cinemas and underground parking through a €45 million reconstruction project.
