Hôtel Beauharnais, Private mansion and diplomatic residence in Invalides, France

The Hôtel Beauharnais stands on rue de Lille, featuring a neoclassical facade, Egyptian-style portico, and gardens overlooking the Seine river.

Built in 1714 by architect Germain Boffrand, the mansion was purchased in 1803 by Eugene de Beauharnais before becoming Prussia's diplomatic residence in 1818.

The interior decorations showcase Empire style furnishings, Italian mosaics, and marble floors, with painted landscapes by Hubert Robert in the Green Salon.

Located at 78 rue de Lille in Paris, the building serves as the German ambassador's residence and requires advance reservation for guided tours.

The first floor houses the Throne Room and Queen Hortense's apartments, including a music salon and bathroom with copper bathtub and inlaid marble floor.
