Cité internationale universitaire de Paris

The Cité Internationale Universitaire spreads across a large park area between Porte de Gentilly and Porte d'Orléans, featuring forty residential buildings for students.

André Honnorat initiated the project in 1920, with the first residence, Deutsch de la Meurthe Foundation, opening its doors to international students in 1925.

The residential buildings represent different nations through their architecture, including structures designed by Le Corbusier for the Brazil House and traditional Japanese design elements.

The complex provides 5,600 beds for international students and researchers, along with libraries, theaters, sports facilities, and multiple restaurants throughout the campus.

In 2006, students from 132 different nationalities lived together in this academic community, making it one of the largest international student housing projects in France.
