The estate covers 26 hectares of vineyards on limestone plateaus and blue clay slopes, producing wines from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes.
The wine estate dates back to Roman times and achieved recognition as Saint-Émilion's leading wine producer according to Cocks & Feret rankings of 1850.
The name Monange honors Anne-Adèle Moueix, the first Moueix woman to establish roots in Saint-Émilion after the estate's acquisition in 2008.
The wine production includes manual grape harvesting, fermentation in temperature-controlled vats, and aging in French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.
The limestone plateau location creates wines with mineral notes, while the blue clay slopes contribute intensity to the finished product.
