Carré Suffren

Carré Suffren is a large office complex in the 15th arrondissement with three connected wings rising between eight and thirteen stories. The development features internal workspaces, a private landscaped garden, and various facilities for daily operations.

From 1963 to 2003, French state institutions including the Institut de France and the Atomic Energy Commission operated from this location. Following a change in ownership in 2004, the building underwent significant renovations.

The International Energy Agency maintains its headquarters within this building, alongside sections of the French Ministry of Education and insurance companies.

The post-2004 renovation involved unusual interventions such as lowering all window sills by 30 centimeters to maximize daylight in the office spaces. Simultaneously, substantial portions of the original floors were demolished to optimize the internal layout.
