Espeyran Castle

Espeyran Castle is a manor with classical architecture, two towers, and extensive stables situated within a 13-hectare park near the Camargue region. The buildings blend residential and working spaces that have survived across centuries, reflecting the character of a wealthy estate.

The property belonged to abbots of Saint-Gilles during medieval times until 1791, when banker Guillaume Sabatier acquired it after the French Revolution. This shift from religious to private ownership marked a turning point during a period of major political change.

The estate carries the Maisons des Illustres designation since 2013, hosting exhibitions that bring regional history to life for visitors. You can see how this place has served as a hub for sharing knowledge about the land and its past.
