Château de Promery

Château de Promery is a castle in Annecy featuring three round towers and medieval architectural details, sitting on the southern slopes of Cuvat hill. The structure displays traditional elements on its exterior walls and encompasses extensive grounds with parking facilities.

The castle was built before the 14th century and initially belonged to the Trombert family, before being sold to René Favre de la Valbonne, a senator, in 1578. A fire later damaged the property, prompting restoration that preserved its historical elements.

The castle displays inscriptions from 1626 and holds historical paintings inside, including portraits of the Favre family who lived there. These artworks tell the story of the residents who shaped the estate over generations.

The property is accessible and offers sufficient parking for visitors. It is regularly used as a venue for events, so checking access possibilities for individuals before visiting is advisable.
