Grand Barbat is a Pyrenean summit of 2,813 metres in the Hautes-Pyrénées, separating the Cauterets valley from the val d'Azun. Its apex is a single sharp point of pale grey and tan rock, split by a dark vertical cleft just below the top, with jagged grey ridges running left and right. The lower slopes fall away in deep blue-grey shadow.
