Golf de Caen is a golf course near Caen that spans across wooded and agricultural land with 27 holes arranged across different playing areas. The facility includes practice zones and multiple courses designed to accommodate players of varying abilities.
The course was designed in 1990 by Scottish architect Fred W. Hawtree, who worked with the existing landscape of woods and farmland. Over time it developed into an established golf facility serving the Normandy region.
The course belongs to the Caen la Mer urban community, which in March 2019 delegated its management for ten years to the SARL Golf Compact de Louvigny. The clubhouse restaurant is open to everyone and can be privatised for private events, and a seminar room and a golf shop selling accessories, equipment and clothing sit alongside it.
The facility is open daily and offers various playing options along with a restaurant with terrace seating for visitors. It also has spaces available for seminars and events.
The 9-hole Le Bois course was added in the forest bordering the site after the original 18-hole layout opened in 1990, bringing the total to 27 greens. The club also runs a 30-bay practice range, 16 of them covered, plus an approach green with bunker, putting and chipping greens and 3 compact holes.
