Les Angles is a ski resort in the French Pyrenees, with slopes ranging from around 1,600 to 2,400 feet (500 to 730 m) in altitude. The runs spread across the mountainside and weave through the village itself, making the ski area and the settlement hard to separate.
Les Angles was a small mountain village long before winter sports arrived in the 20th century and brought lift infrastructure to the area. The resort grew around the existing village rather than replacing it, which is why old stone buildings still stand alongside the slopes today.
