Les Angles

Les Angles is a ski resort in the Pyrenees with slopes between 1600 and 2400 meters elevation and more than 20 ski lifts serving the terrain. The trails link through the mountain villages, with residential areas and slopes interwoven throughout the settlement.

The settlement began to grow when skiers discovered the mountain region in the early 1900s and lift infrastructure was developed. This transformation turned a quiet mountain community into a winter destination while its original structure remained.

The village retains its original character while embracing winter sports, showing how traditional mountain architecture coexists with a modern ski area. Visitors see old stone buildings alongside ski facilities throughout the settlement, revealing how the community has preserved its roots.

You can access the slopes directly from the village without needing long transfers. The best time to visit is from December to April when snow is most reliable.

Some slopes run directly through the old village streets where skiers pass by traditional houses. This unusual feature makes this a rare place where winter sports and village life exist side by side.
