Tour Thiers

Tour Thiers is a high-rise in Nancy that rises to 90 meters and comprises three interlocking sections, with antennas at the top. The building houses office spaces and a hotel and is located near Nancy's train station, accessible from Rue Raymond Poincaré and Place Thiers.

The building was constructed in 1975 and required the demolition of several 19th-century structures, including the Hotel Thiers and other Art Nouveau buildings. This construction marked a turning point in Nancy's development and led the city to establish stricter guidelines for future tall building projects.

The tower represents a moment when French cities began accepting modern high-rises, visible in its concrete and glass facade that contrasts sharply with the older buildings surrounding it.
