Roc dels Tres Termes

The Roc dels Tres Termes rises to 1129.7 meters in the eastern Pyrenees, forming a natural boundary between Spain and France with extensive mountain views.

The mountain summit has marked the territorial boundaries between Spain and France since the Treaty of the Pyrenees, signed in the 17th century.

Local residents from both sides of the border gather at the summit during annual festivals to celebrate shared traditions of the Pyrenean communities.

Multiple hiking trails lead to the summit from both countries, with the French route starting in Laroque-des-Albères and the Spanish path beginning in La Jonquera.

The summit contains a marker where hikers can simultaneously place their feet in two different countries while observing both the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees.
