Cascade de Rûnes

The Rûnes waterfall features two distinct cascades, with the primary drop measuring 70 meters and a secondary fall of 46 meters in height.

The waterfall, situated within the Cévennes National Park, has been classified as a protected natural monument to preserve its geological and environmental significance.

Near the waterfall base stands a stone with an engraved dragon biting its tail, bearing inscriptions connecting earth and sky from early medieval times.

The trail leading to the waterfall spans 600 meters with a 110-meter elevation change, requiring sturdy footwear and approximately 40 minutes of walking time.

The water source originates from Mont Lozère's granite formations, creating a natural display that changes in volume throughout the different seasons.
