Casino Théâtre Barrière is an entertainment complex with gaming facilities and theatre halls in Toulouse. The venue spans multiple floors and offers restaurants and bars alongside its gaming and performance spaces.
Built on the site of the ENSIACET chemical engineering institute, destroyed in the AZF explosion of 21 September 2001, the complex opened on 13 October 2007. During the Théâtre du Capitole's 2009-2010 season, while its historic hall was under repair, the venue was one of the city's "théâtre hors les murs" stages, and in 2014 it still hosted part of that theatre's programme.
The hall hosts the Théâtrales festival and the Toulouse international magic festival, and the Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre has performed Swan Lake here. Artists such as Julien Clerc, Vanessa Paradis, Zazie and Patrick Sébastien have appeared on its stage. Since 2014 the Théâtre du Capitole has shared its programming with this venue.
The complex sits on Île du Ramier in a flood-prone zone, and access is closed when Toulouse activates its municipal flood plan. The 1,200-seat hall can be converted into a 500-seat dinner-show room. Three restaurants and three bars are on site.
