Château de Lacombe, Historical castle in Tarascon-sur-Ariège, France.
The castle features a quadrilateral structure with three different-sized towers and multiple windows crafted from local limestone across its substantial main façade.
Constructed in the 17th century by François III Deguilhem, a captain of Rabat and proxy of the Count of Foix, the castle served as a fortified residence.
The interior contains two monumental stucco-decorated fireplaces that display artistic influences similar to those found at the Palace of Fontainebleau.
The castle maintains protected status as a historical monument since 1983 for its fireplaces and 1992 for the remaining structure under private ownership.
An avenue lined with thirty century-old plane trees leads to the castle, which overlooks the Rabat valley from its elevated position.
