Plage de Sainte-Marguerite is a sandy beach in Pornichet stretching roughly 900 meters between two headlands. The shoreline features a supervised swimming zone in the center with distinct channels marked for sailing and motorized boats, plus beach facilities for outdoor fitness activities.

The beach developed as Pornichet grew into a seaside resort during the 1800s, with traditional villas built along the waterfront to house visitors. This expansion established the area as a fashionable destination for wealthy families seeking coastal leisure.

Two parking areas serve visitors, with one near Avenue de Rangrais and another at Pointe de Congrigoux offering direct beach access. Stairs and gentle slopes make it easy to reach the water regardless of your physical abilities.

Since 2019, the beach established no-smoking zones around its beach clubs and sailing facilities to improve visitor experience. These designated areas reflect the growing focus on maintaining a cleaner, healthier shoreline for everyone.
