Café des images is a three-screen cinema in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, Calvados. Its rooms are the 218-seat "salle à fleurs", named for its floral decoration, the 215-seat "Coupole", named for its architecture, and the 59-seat "Tati". All three can project 16 mm, 35 mm and digital films with Dolby/Digital stereo sound.

The municipality of Hérouville-Saint-Clair planned a film centre from 1974, but the 1975 opening of the Cinéclair complex at the Carrefour supermarket delayed it. The Café des images opened in December 1978 with a cafeteria and two projection rooms, one of 265 seats for 16 mm films and one of 65 for Super 8, under first director Jacques Brochard. The main room was classified art et essai category A in 1979.

The cinema coordinates image-education programmes in Calvados (Maternelle au Cinéma, École et cinéma, Collège au Cinéma) and Lycéens et apprentis au cinéma in Normandy, publishing teaching dossiers on film aesthetics. Since August 2015 it has issued the online review "Le Café en revue", with contributors such as Raphaël Nieuwjaer (Débordements) and Emmanuel Burdeau (Cahiers du cinéma, Mediapart). It also hosts meetings of the Cinéclub de Caen.

The cinema stands in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, north of Caen; since 2019 tram line 1 and bus line 6 stop directly in front at the stop named after it. Noctibus serves nearby Saint-Clair on Thursday to Saturday evenings. All three screening rooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Since August 2015 the cinema has published an online review, "Le Café en revue", with contributors such as Raphaël Nieuwjaer (Débordements) and Emmanuel Burdeau (Cahiers du cinéma, Mediapart). The Cinéclub de Caen also holds its meetings here regularly.
