Pointe de Rosoire

Pointe de Rosoire is a mountain summit in the French Alps rising to approximately 2680 meters, defined by sharp rocky ridges and jagged stone formations across its face. It sits entirely within Vanoise National Park and offers expansive views across surrounding mountain ranges and valleys from its peak.

The summit became part of Vanoise National Park in 1963, a creation designed to protect the natural habitats of the French Alps. This designation initiated modern conservation efforts in this mountain region.

Local mountaineers maintain traditional climbing routes on Pointe de Rosoire, passing knowledge of safe passage through generations of alpine guides.

Hikers reach the summit via multiple marked routes departing from Pralognan-la-Vanoise, with the ascent requiring alpine gear and stable weather. The best visiting window is between June and September, when conditions are most secure.

The north face features a natural wind corridor that creates distinctive snow patterns favored by winter sports enthusiasts. This phenomenon makes the location an engaging destination for adventurous skiers during cold months.
