Montagne de Lachat is a rounded mountain in the Bauges massif of the French Prealps, rising to 1,441 metres at its central summit. It runs southwest to northeast below Mont Revard and above the Col de Plainpalais. Dense forest covers the slopes, crossed only by forest tracks, and the ski resort of La Féclaz lies at its southern end.

Montagne de Lachat belongs to the Bauges massif, a range of the French Prealps, and rises to 1,441 metres between the Mont Revard to the north-west and the Col de Plainpalais to the south-east. Its rounded form stretches south-west to north-east above thick forest with no dwellings or roads apart from forestry tracks. The ski resort of La Féclaz lies at its southern end.

The mountain lies within the Bauges massif, and a variant of the long-distance hiking route of the Massif des Bauges skirts it to the south. At the southern end of the mountain stands the La Féclaz winter sports resort, which visitors pass on that side.

The hike works best from late spring through early autumn when snow has melted and the trails are easily walkable. Bring plenty of water and weather-resistant clothing, as mountain conditions can change quickly at elevation.

The mountain's rounded, forested form has no dwellings or roads apart from forestry tracks. A variant of the Massif des Bauges long-distance footpath skirts it to the south, and the La Féclaz winter sports resort lies at its southern end.
