Plage de Piémanson, Sand beach in Salin-de-Giraud, France

Plage de Piémanson stretches for several kilometers with light brown sand bordered by low dunes and shallow lagoons near the Rhône river mouth. Salt marshes frame the shoreline and create a distinctive coastal landscape.

Until 2015, this location functioned as a large camping area where caravans and cabins were used seasonally from May through September. The site underwent significant changes after that period, altering its previous use.

The eastern section serves as a naturist zone where visitors seek an alternative approach to beach life away from conventional seaside culture. This part of the shore has become a meeting place for people who choose this lifestyle.

The beach is reachable via a paved road from Salin-de-Giraud, with parking areas available near the entrance. It is best visited during quieter periods outside the main season for a more comfortable experience.

The salt marshes occasionally turn pink due to specific algae, attracting flamingos that gather to feed in the area. This natural phenomenon offers visitors a chance to spot these elegant birds during certain times.
