Tserakvi, Kloster in Georgien
Tserakvi is a monastery complex in Kvemo Kartli at an elevation of roughly 950 meters, containing multiple church buildings from different periods. The main church dates to the 12th and 13th centuries, while the Church of Saint George spans the 16th to 18th centuries and the Church of the Archangels dates to the 10th century, all featuring thick stone walls and solid, simple design.
The monastery emerged during a period of religious growth in Georgia in the 12th and 13th centuries and was later expanded with additional church buildings from the 10th century and early modern periods. The surrounding protective wall was built in the early modern era and demonstrates how the site became a fortified religious center through the centuries.

The complex contains an old wine cellar from the late medieval period with acoustic windows for ventilation and clay jar fragments scattered on its floor.
