This fjord is only accessible by ship from mid-July to September because ice blocks it for the rest of the year. Visitors must plan to travel during this short season and prepare for extreme Arctic conditions.
The fjord entrance is about 29 kilometers wide and flanked by two prominent capes, with massive cliff walls rising up to 2000 meters above the water. These dramatic cliffs rank among the highest in the entire region.
