MOMus–Museum of Contemporary Art–Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and State Museum of Contemporary Art Collections, Art museum in Thessaloniki International Fair area, Greece.
The MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art occupies a renovated structure within the Thessaloniki International Fair complex, displaying 2,000 works of modern art.
The museum emerged in 1979 after collector Alexandros Iolas donated 47 artworks to help Thessaloniki recover from the 1978 earthquake damage.
The permanent collection presents paintings, sculptures, installations, and photographs from Greek and international artists, documenting contemporary artistic movements.
Visitors can access the museum from Thursday through Saturday between 10:00 and 18:00, and on Sundays from 11:00 until 15:00.
The museum maintains a specialized library of 2,500 titles covering various artistic disciplines, complemented by an art shop selling artist-designed merchandise.
