OTE Tower, Television tower in central Thessaloniki, Greece.
The OTE Tower is a television and communication tower located within the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center grounds. It stands tall above the fairgrounds and includes a rotating restaurant on one of its upper floors.
The tower was designed in 1966 by architect Alexandros Anastasiadis as part of Greece's early broadcasting network. It was built to transmit radio and television signals across the Thessaloniki region.
The tower draws crowds during the International Fair held each year, when exhibition spaces fill with visitors exploring booths and cultural displays from different countries.
The tower sits within the Exhibition Center grounds, which are easy to walk around outside of major fair dates. Visiting the restaurant in the early afternoon tends to be more relaxed, with fewer people and clearer views over the city.
The restaurant rotates slowly throughout a meal, so diners gradually see the whole city, the waterfront, and the hills behind it without moving from their seat. The rotation is so gentle that many guests only notice it once the view has already shifted.
