Kauhajoki Church

The church building features a modern design resembling an open Bible resting on its cover, with dimensions of 35 meters in length and 21 meters in height.

Architect Veikko Larkas designed this church as a replacement for a previous structure, and the new building opened its doors to the community in December 1958.

The interior elements incorporate biblical references, including a pulpit designed to represent the Ark of the Covenant within the main worship space.

The church accommodates 1,060 people between its main floor and balconies, making it suitable for large religious services and community gatherings throughout the year.

The church organ, installed in 2004, contains 2,513 pipes, with its largest pipe measuring nine meters, setting a record for Finland's tallest organ pipe.
