Kauhajoki Church

Kauhajoki Church is a Lutheran house of worship designed with a modern form that recalls an open Bible. The building provides seating for around 1,060 people across its main level and balconies.

Architect Veikko Larkas designed this church as a replacement for an earlier building. The new structure opened to the community in December 1958.

The interior incorporates symbolic references that shape how the space feels as a place of worship. Visitors notice how these design choices reinforce the spiritual purpose throughout the main hall.
