Rukatunturi, Ski resort in Kuusamo, Finland
The 493-meter-high Rukatunturi mountain extends across the Kuusamo landscape with 41 slopes and 22 lifts for winter sports activities.
The winter sports development at Rukatunturi began in 1954 with the opening of Eturinne, the first slope that initiated the transformation into a major resort.
Rukatunturi maintains strong connections to Finnish winter sports traditions by hosting Nordic skiing World Cup competitions and international ski events throughout the season.
The resort operates daily from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM during main season, with additional Friday night skiing hours extending until 11:00 PM.
The mountain features an underground heated parking facility for 320 vehicles, constructed in 2010 to provide safe slope access without road crossings.
