The three-story Kallina House features ceramic tiles across its facade and maintains commercial spaces on the ground level.
Architect Vjekoslav Bastl completed this residential building in 1904 for industrialist Josip Kallina under the Hönigsberg & Deutsch architecture bureau.
The structure displays floral patterns, geometric shapes, and distinctive bat-shaped designs that represent Art Nouveau architectural elements from the early 1900s.
The building stands at the intersection of Masarykova and Gundulićeva streets in the Donji grad district of Zagreb.
The ceramic tiles on the facade served both as decoration and as a promotion for Josip Kallina's ceramics manufacturing business.
