Pridraga

Pridraga is a settlement on the Adriatic coast near Novigrad, stretching across a Mediterranean landscape with numerous natural beaches. The area features fourteen distinct beaches, including the three-section Vrulja Beach and Barbakan Beach divided into east and west zones.

The settlement originated in a region that connected important trade routes between the Adriatic coast and inland areas across centuries. This strategic position enabled consistent habitation throughout different historical periods.

The community here remains deeply connected to the sea, with traditional food preparation and social gatherings taking place regularly at beaches like Ćuskijaš and Gusareva Draga. This maritime heritage shapes daily life and local identity.

Most visitors come to swim and sunbathe at the various beaches, which are relatively easy to access. Proper footwear helps when approaching some beaches, as rocky terrain leads to certain swimming spots.

Some vacation homes here feature natural chlorine swimming pools built directly into the structures. These private pools offer an unusual alternative to sea swimming for visitors with specific preferences.
