Podgradina, Posedarje

Podgradina is a rural settlement in northern Dalmatia situated across hilly terrain dotted with natural springs and streams. The village spreads across a landscape shaped by several geographic features that define its setting.

The settlement emerged from an earlier community called Budim near Novigrad Sea that vanished in the 17th century. The present-day village maintains its connection to this older settlement through its location in the same geographic area.

The Parish Church of the Holy Spirit, established in 1990, serves as the religious center where residents gather for the annual Pentecost celebration.

The settlement is accessible through county roads connecting to nearby communities like Novigrad and Pridraza. Visitors can reach the larger city of Zadar via local road connections in a reasonable timeframe.

The area features several hills with distinct names, including Gradina which gave the settlement its name. These topographic features continue to shape the region's character.
