Šunj, Natural beach in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Croatia
Šunj is a natural beach that stretches about 320 meters along the coast, featuring soft sand and clear water backed by low vegetation and rocky outcrops. There are no commercial facilities or umbrellas, leaving the shoreline in its basic state.
Šunj lies in a cove on the southeast side of Lopud that has no road access; it is reached on foot through pine forest from Lopud village or by small boat. The sandy shore and the shallow water extending about a hundred metres from the coast made it a gathering place for Dubrovnik residents and their guests, and part of the beach has long been reserved for nudists.
