József Beszédes Bridge

The József Beszédes Bridge is a road bridge that crosses the Danube River between Dunaföldvár and Solt. It spans approximately 518 meters and carries Hungarian road 54 across the waterway.

The bridge was built between 1928 and 1930 as a key connection across the river. It was destroyed during World War II but was rebuilt in 1951 and has served traffic ever since.

Named after József Beszédes, the bridge integrates American-style architectural elements that reflect the engineering practices of early 20th century Hungary.

The bridge is open daily to traffic and pedestrians, providing a direct connection between the two towns. Weather conditions or maintenance work may occasionally affect crossing, so checking local traffic updates before traveling is helpful.
