Solomon Tower, Visegrád

Solomon Tower is a fortified tower in Visegrád forming part of the Lower Castle complex with thick stone walls rising prominently above the surrounding area. Inside, exhibitions display the area's history from ancient times and objects recovered from the nearby Royal Palace.

Built in the 13th century under King Béla IV, the tower was designed to guard crucial trade routes along the Danube River. Its position between two major cities made it a key defensive point for the region during that era.
