Hungarian Theater, Theater building in District VII, Budapest, Hungary.

The Magyar Színház occupies a structure with a two-story auditorium, originally designed by architect Adolf Láng to accommodate 996 seats.

Founded in 1897, the theater presented opera performances in its early years before shifting focus to Hungarian and foreign dramas between 1907 and 1918.

The theater presents a mix of contemporary works and classic plays, with performances primarily in Hungarian and English subtitles for international audiences.

Visitors can access the theater through public transportation, with ticket reservations recommended due to limited seating capacity and regular sold-out shows.

The building features a distinctive facade made from 757 pieces of Zsolnay pirogranite, crafted by sculptor Gyula Illyés.
